Stabilised WMS and Key User-as-a-Service for a global eye care leader

At a glance
For a global eye care company, Lanark supported an SAP cut-over, enhanced automation and drove the implementation of a warehouse management system (WMS). The Lanark team also provides key user support as a service.
The challenge?
At this global leader in eye care, the implementation of a WMS system did not proceed as planned, having an impact on the SAP implementation also. At the same time, the company was engaged in a complex automation project and a 3PL insourcing project. Their internal team was not fit to support these changes.
Lanark’s solution
Lanark stepped in to stabilise the WMS implementation, and at the same time initiated an inventory reconciliation process. This was followed by an SAP cut-over, where Lanark’s supply chain engineers acted as first key users, since this global leader in eye care did not have sufficient inhouse key users. The Lanark team then trained the internal resources to take over this role. Through this Key User-as-a-Service support, Lanark and the global eye care company were able to quickly build the required capabilities with multiple team members.
On top of that, Lanark extracted all relevant data from the systems to assess the impact of automation and 3PL insourcing. This served as input for the requirements and solution design done by Lanark.
