The challenge?
A global player in the pharma industry struggled to achieve growth in a sustainable way. Therefore, they were looking for a partner to liaise their technical IT department with operations, to build and implement future-proof solutions.
Lanark’s solution
The Lanark team reviewed the existing order processing set-up and designed and implemented a new process, including the EDI integration with their 3PL. In the warehouse, Lanark built a solution using scanners to manage their stocks. After a successful pilot, Lanark rolled out this new way of working across the warehouse.
Furthermore, Lanark set up analytics to get better insights on the Cost to Serve (CTS) of the pharma company. This allows them to increase their supply chain profitability while maintaining a good customer experience. As part of this analysis, Lanark reviewed and redesigned their distribution network.
Finally, Lanark developed an approach to optimise margins, including the architecture, design and implementation. Today, Lanark provides ongoing support as key user, and with the different innovation and digitisation projects the company runs.
